Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow has advised Seacon Shipping Group on the successful takeover of seven 3,850 dwt mini bulkers.

ERG provided Seacon Shipping Group with legal advice and support on the set-up of the corporate structure, the delivery and registration in relation to the takeover of seven 3,850 dwt mini bulkers. Upon delivery each vessel entered into a long-term time charter with Baltic Shipping Company. A/S, Hillerod/Denmark.

All vessels are identical sister ships built from 2022 until 2023 by Damen Yichang Shipbuilding Limited according to Damen Group’s successful Combifreighter design. The vessels have a deadweight of 3,850 dwt, are 89.75 m long and have a beam of 12,50 m. Propulsion is provided by a ABC 6DZC engine with SCR (Tier III), delivering an output of 1,104 kW at 800 rpm. The vessels have a single box shaped hold with multiple position options for the two grain bulkheads. The tween deck gives full flexibility for bulk and breakbulk cargo. With securing eyes all over the longitudinal bulkheads the cargo can be fixed exactly as required.

For this project Seacon Shipping Group secured financing through CIMC Xinde Leasing Shenzhen LTD.

Since takeover, all ships are managed by Seacon Shipping Germany GmbH & Co. KG, which is the Hamburg branch office, led by Hui Du and Jan Warmke, of Seacon Shipping Group.

The ERG team was led by partner Dr. Hauke Rittscher (Hamburg) and consisted of partner Maje Tode and senior associates Benjamin Chen and Nils Klages (each Hamburg).
