ABOUT US

TEAM

We are an unusually international team of lawyers. We work as a team to develop the best solutions for our clients.

LOYALITY

It is important for us to retain and develop talent for the long term and to assist our lawyers to become experts in our practice areas.

RESPECT

We prioritise a culture of appreciation and respect in all interactions, consistently across every level of our firm.

OUR POSITIONS

We actively recruit motivated, highly qualified lawyers and welcome applications from graduates with a keen interest in our practice areas.
You should be fluent in written and spoken English. Experience in shipping or finance is not necessary but welcome.
Newcomers will be trained in the highly specialised areas of maritime commercial and finance law. We do not expect you to come to us as a specialist. You will gain the necessary specialist knowledge by working closely with the experienced lawyers in our firm. During your introductory period with us you will take on responsibility for looking after and handling client work, which will grow with your increasing experience and specialisation.

We offer interns and trainee lawyers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the field of maritime commercial law and to gain an invaluable insight into the legal profession. You will be involved in working on matters from day one and will be supervised by one or more of the firm's experienced lawyers.

We offer research assistants the opportunity to work in our law firm, particularly in the areas of maritime finance, the purchase and sale of ships and corporate law.
Ideally, you have already passed the written exams for the first state examination and can work at least two days a week with us. It has proven useful for employees to work with us full-time for a few weeks at the beginning in order to familarise themselve with  the office and our work.

Our legal assistants are crucial to our firm's success. They serve as the vital link facilitating collaboration between our clients and lawyers. Their responsibilities include managing international correspondence, preparing and formatting documents and presentations, coordinating deadlines and appointments, as well as organising and following up on meetings and business trips. Their expertise guarantees seamless operations daily. Proficiency in both German and English, along with a confident use of MS Office products and the ability to work thoroughly and independently, are key requirements for this role.
