ERG assisted insolvency administrators with the rescue of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft
Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow advised on the sale and transfer of certain assets relating to the SeaRoad project and the FSG yard.
We are delighted to have assisted Christoph Morgen of Brinkmann & Partner and Hendrik Gittermann of Reimer, in their capacity as insolvency administrators for various entities relating to Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) and Nobiskrug.
As has been widely reported, preliminary insolvency proceedings were opened in connection with FSG and Nobiskrug on 12 December 2024 and an emergency loan was secured to assist FSG and Nobiskrug until the end of January. In the interim, Christoph Morgen and Hendrik Gittermann sought out investors who could provide firm commitments relating to FSG and Nobiskrug. These eventually came from the Heinrich Rönner Group, which has agreed to purchase the FSG shipyard, and SeaRoad, an Australian company, which ordered a new 43,100GT ro-ro from FSG. And in respect of Nobiskrug, Christoph Morgen and Hendrik Gittermann secured an agreement with the Lürssen Group, which will take over the facilities and land at Nobiskrug in Rendsburg.
