Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow has advised KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH as lender regarding an ECA-covered financing to the Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd group for the construction and delivery of two 7,700 dwt multipurpose dry cargo eco vessels of the so-called Labrax-series. The vessels are under construction at Thecla Bodewes Shipyards Kampen, the Netherlands, and the financing is secured by an ECA guarantee provided by Atradius.

According to Carisbrooke, the diesel-electric propulsion system on board the vessels in combination with the advanced power-management system reduces overall fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
