Breakfast Briefing EU ETS Update on 22 November 2023
On 22 November 2023, we hosted a breakfast briefing together with zero44 and provided an overview of the legal and practical implementation of the extension of the European Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) to the shipping industry on 1 January 2024.

Together with Friederike Hesse and Friedemann Nierhaus of zero44, Dr. Nina von Borries and Dr. Julia Glocke gave an overview of contractual regulations on EU ETS and the purchase and trading of emission allowances and discussed practical problems in this regard and their - technical - possible solutions.
