John advises on a range of opera­tional matters and disputes arising from all kinds of maritime contracts, such as charter­parties, bills of lading, contracts of affreightment, pooling agree­ments, shipbuilding contracts and bunker supply contracts.

Initially qualifing as a barrister, John previously worked at leading Inter­na­tional Group P&I clubs, where he handled the full range of P&I and FD&D cases. Latterly John worked as in-house counsel for a global shipowner, where he was respon­sible for handling disputes and queries arising from the chartering and operation of a fleet of more than 130 oil tankers and gas carriers.

John advises shipowners, operators, charterers, P&I clubs, ship yards, ship financing banks and other finan­ciers.
