Expertise

Hendrik Brauns has over 15 years experience in maritime finance. He advises German and inter­na­tional banks and financial insti­tu­tions on ship and fleet financing, ECA-covered loans as well as restruc­tu­rings, reorga­niza­tions, sale and purchase of debt receiv­ables, syndicate separa­tions and lease transac­tions. In addition, Hendrik Brauns advises banks on the sale and purchase of ships, their arrest and enforcement of mortgages. Another major focus of his activities is advising on insol­vency law issues and on general commercial law.

Following his legal training, Hendrik Brauns worked for three and a half years at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg in the legal department for inter­na­tional business, where he was parti­cu­larly involved in corporate and acqui­sition financing as well as US lease and cross-border leasing transactions.
