Carolin Schmeding’s practice primarily involves the structured financing of vessels, containers and other maritime equipment. Carolin Schmeding has worked on a number of transactions on the construction and long-term financing of vessels as well as structured container finacings, on syndications and comprehensive restructurings. She also has experience with the sale and purchase of seagoing and inland waterway vessels and registration of ship mortgages in Germany and abroad.

Carolin Schmeding also advises clients on in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate restructurings, whereas Carolin Schmeding has experience with national as well as international corporate transactions.

Short biography

Carolin Schmeding studied law at the university of Konstanz. She completed her legal education at the Higher Regional Court of Celle in 2004. While writing her doctoral thesis on seaport competition, she worked with the antitrust department of a law firm in Berlin. In 2006 Carolin Schmeding joined Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow. Since 2012 Carolin Schmeding is partner of the firm.
