Alexander Mayer’s main area of practice is structured maritime finance. He also works in the areas of sale and purchase of ships and the registration of ships and ship mortgages, both domestically and internationally.

Short biography

Alexander Mayer studied law at the University of Konstanz. He graduated in 2006 and continued his studies at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he was awarded the degree Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2007.

During his legal education with the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg, he – inter alia – gained first experience in the area of maritime law working with a smaller reputable Hamburg law firm and spent a three month stage at the German Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia. Having completed his legal education and qualified as a lawyer, he joined Ehlermann Rindfleisch Gadow at the beginning of 2010.
